Call for Nominations: cFive #Catalyst4Change Award

Recognizing Change Makers in Community Supervision

TUSTIN, Calif. – January 5, 2020 – cFive Solutions, Inc. announced today the return of their #Catalyst4Change award program. #Catalyst4Change is an initiative to recognize and celebrate individuals who have championed innovative community supervision programs that empower clients and create positive change.

“Since the launch of the program three years ago, the #Catalyst4Change program has provided an ever expanding platform for sharing ideas about what is working in community supervision,” said James Newman, cFive senior vice president. “Through the Justice Network’s #Catalyst4Change webinar program, along with regional and national media exposure, and the recognition and exposure received at the American Probation and Parole Association events, the #Catalyst4Change finalists have been able to share their insights with thousands of their peers across the country. That is why we developed #Catalyst4Change, and we are proud to hear from so many that the program has provided insight and inspiration.”

Award Criteria
Nominations will be accepted for individuals who have developed successful initiatives in community supervision that foster change for clients, agencies and communities. Submissions will be evaluated based on program innovation and measurable achievements. Examples of innovative initiatives may include use of evidence-based practices to achieve program improvement, improved client outcomes, or development of client behavior change.

Selection Process
An important tenant of #Catalyst4Change is to include the community supervision industry throughout the selection process. Nominations will be accepted for individuals serving within community supervision. Finalists will be determined by a panel of industry leaders, and the final award recipients will be peer-driven, selected using an online voting platform.
Finalists will be provided the ability to discuss their program on a webinar on the Justice Clearinghouse network.

Change Makers Wanted
Community supervision professionals are encouraged to nominate themselves, team members within their agency, agency partners, or other individuals making a difference in community supervision. Nominations will be accepted online through March 6, 2020.

Selection of Recipient
An online voting platform will open April 1. The winner will be announced at the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) Annual Institute in August.

The award package includes paid registration and airfare support to APPA’s 2020 Annual Training Institute in August.
